Washington Redskins +3 @ Dallas Cowboys -3
Week 3 of the NFL has been full of surprises. What does that mean for tonight? I’m really not sure. The Redskins are undefeated, the Cowboys are hurt, and I wouldn’t touch this game if it weren’t on Monday night, but it is. For no other reason other than I don’t believe the Redskins will start the year 3-0 I’ll take the Cowboys and give the 3 at 1-star.

Baltimore Ravens -5.5 @ St. Louis Rams +5.5
The Rams early schedule is killer and with the Ravens losing last week it go that much more difficult. The Rams have a lot of improving to do, but it’s not going to happen today. I’ll take the Ravens and give the 5.5.
![]()

New York Jets -140 ML @ Oakland Raiders +125 ML
I don’t like when teams lose their centers, and I dislike it even more when Mark Sanchez is the QB. Couple that with the Jets historical struggles in Oakland and the Raiders to win this game outright becomes my call. For what it’s worth, the moneyline on the Raiders has been dropping all morning. I’ll take the Raiders to win the game outright.
![]()

Kansas City Chiefs +14 @ San Diego Chargers -14
If you bet against the Chiefs all year you will come out ahead. I’ll take the Chargers and give the 14

2-Team Parlay

Detroit Lions -3 @ Minnesota Vikings +3
The Vikings blew a big lead last week scoring zero points in the second half. The Lions are new to success but I am willing to bet the take care of the Vikings limited offensive weapons and score enough to cover the points. I’ll take the Lions and give the 3.

New England Patriots -7 @ Buffalo Bills +7
I had the Bills marked as another Moneyline bet as I do believe they can win this game. The Patriots are being touted as a premiere team, but I believe they are just a premiere offense as their defense has a tough time stopping people. Because it is the Patriots and the Bills I can see the Pats finding a way to win, so I’ll take the Bills and the 7 points.

2-Team Parlay

Miami Dolphins -1.5 @ Cleveland Browns +1.5
The Dolphins started the year with 2 home games and 2 losses. Their is no shame in the teams they lost to, and their home record last year indicated no one should be surprised they aren’t winning at home. The Fish like the road and will welcome being in Cleveland. I’ll take the Dolphins and give the 1.5 points.

San Francisco 49ers +2.5 @ Cincinnati Bengals -2.5
The Bengals have a rookie QB that has better numbers than the oft celebrated Cam Newton. The Bengals also have had 2 road games with a win and a 2-point loss in Denver. The 49ers are still the 49ers, they showed that last week. I’ll take the Bengals and give the 2.5.

St. Louis Rams +7 @ New York Giants -7
Both the Rams and Giants are at less than 100%. The Giants may be worse off overall on the injury sheet, but they have had longer to deal with and adapt to the injuries. The Giants are actually getting at least Justin Tuck back tonight. The Rams have had one week to remedy their ailments, and their most explosive offensive player is most likely out, S. Jackson. The Giants should be able to sustain a running attack and make it difficult for a depleted Rams offense to score. I’ll take the Giants and give the 7 for 1-star.

Chicago Bears +4.5 @ New Orleans Saints -4.5
The Saints have extra time to prep, the Saints aren’t going to start 0-2, the Saints are better. I’ll take the Saints and give the 4.5.
![]()

Baltimore Ravens -5.5 @ Tennessee Titans +5.5
The Titans could only muster 14 points on the Jaguars, and there is no way their offense came together this week and will perform any better against the Ravens. Ravens offense has playmakers. I’ll take the Ravens and give the 5.5.
![]()

Kansas City Chiefs +7.5 @ Detroit Lions -7.5
Anti-Chiefs may be my short-sell play of the year. They are not very good. The Lions by more than 7, not sure the last time that happened. I’ll take the Lions and give the 7.5
![]()
2-Team Parlay

Dallas Cowboys -3 @ San Francisco 49ers +3
The Cowboys have shown that they are a good team that blows games. They won’t blow this one at Candlestick. I’ll take the Cowboys and give the 3.

Seattle Seahawks +13.5 @ Pittsburgh Steelers -13.5
The Seahawks have the wrong weekend to come to Pittsburgh. 7 turnovers won’t happen again, and the Seahawks may not get 7 first downs. I’ll take the Steelers and give the -13.5.

4-Team Parlay

Oakland Raiders +4 @ Buffalo Bills -4
Hats off to the Bills for their big win last week, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves regarding the Bills. The Raiders on the other hand, and in my opinion, are not the dishrag some people consider them. I’ll take the Raiders and the 4 points.

Green Bay Packers -10.5 @ Carolina Panthers +10.5
Some say 10.5 on the road is way too many points to give up. I say, 10.5 is way too few points to pass on. Packers have extra time to prep for a rookie QB that performed well in Week 1, but again, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. I’ll take the Packer and give the 10.5.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +1 @ Minnesota Vikings -1
I am a firm believer in the Vikings not being good, and also in the Bucs to challenge for a playoff spot. I’ll take the Buccaneers and the 1 point.

Cincinnati Bengals +3 @ Denver Broncos -3
The situation in Denver is way overblown. They aren’t that bad, and not there aren’t that many people that want Tebow, just a very vocal minority. The Bengals are bad. I’ll take the Broncos and give the 3 ponts.

LSU Tigers -3 (-160) @ Mississippi St. Bulldogs +3 (+140)
I am liking the Bulldogs to win this game outright tonight. Home dog on Thursdays is what drove the initial feel and looking at the first two games for both squads nothing drove me off of it. Yes LSU beat Oregon, but I believe its more accurate to say that Oregon beat Oregon on that particular day. Mississippi St. gave up a lot of big plays to Auburn last week, I don’t see LSU doing the same. The Tiger defense is formidable but the Bulldogs offense ain’t so shabby. I am taking Mississippi St. to win the game outright, moneyline +140.

New England Patriots -7 @ Miami Dolphins +7
There is a prevailing thought that this matchup has been competitive recently and I am not sure where that comes from. The Patriots are 4-1 SU in the last 5 games and 3-2 ATS over that same span. Neither game last year was close. It will be hot and humid in Miami so if the Pats don’t stay hydrated they may have some issues. I am willing to bet that the medical staff will ensure the electrolytes are flowing so thats not a real concern. I’ll take the Patriots and give the 7.
![]()

Oakland Raiders +150 (ML) @ Denver Broncos -170 (ML)
The Raiders demolished the Broncos both times last season, 59-14 in Denver as a 7 point dog. I see value in a +150 moneyline and believe that the Raiders will compete for the AFC West title this year, while the Broncos won’t. I’ll take the Raiders to win outright at +150.

Atlanta Falcons -1.5 @ Chicago Bears +1.5
The Bears went to the NFC Championship game last year. It’s not fair to say they didn’t deserve to go, but they were definitely out of their element. The Falcons are better at just about every position. I’ll take the Falcons and give the 1.5.
![]()

Cincinnati Bengals +6.5 @ Cleveland Browns -6.5
The Browns have gotten better, the Bengals have not. BTW, the schedule makers must have something against the Browns since 4 of their last 5 games are against the Steelers and Ravens. I’ll take the Browns and give the 6.5.
![]()

Tennessee Titans pk @ Jacksonville Jaguars pk
There are a lot of question marks for both of these teams, but the Jaguars have more of them and a lot more negativity floating around them. The Titans have their stud running back in place and a veteran QB to lead them. I’ll take the Titans to win this game.
