Congratulations to the Los Angeles Lakers on winning the Western Conference Championship last night. 100-92 was the final score, which makes the game a Push and the Under hit by a point. The Lakers won the series 4-1 and will face the winner of the Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons series. If you did not watch the game, and you had either the Lakers -8 or the Spurs +8, this morning you are talking about Sasha Vujacic. The Spurs knocked down a few late, meaningless baskets to cut the lead to 5 with under 8 seconds to go. The Lakers move the ball up the court, as the Spurs admit defeat and half-heartedly pressure the ball. With 3 seconds left the Lakers throw the ball to Vujacic who with 1 second left released a three-point shot that hit nothing but net and the game pushed. I am not too upset with Sasha because I know that for every game that is lost like that, I will win one the same.
Tonights action: Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals is tonight in Detroit where the Pistons must win in order to force Game 7. The Pistons are favored by 5.5 and the Total is set at 175. The Pistons are 5-0 this postseason after a loss and if you recall the Celtics have won only one road game in these playoffs. I have been saying this will go 7 games and I still feel strong about that. 5.5 is not a lot to cover so I am going 4-stars on the Pistons tonight.
The Kansas City Royals lost their 11th straight game, while the Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Colorado Rockies have all lost 4 straight . . . .The following teams all have 4 game winning streaks: Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Twins.
Nothing worth your valuable time in football.
Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals is tomorrow night in Pittsburgh. The Red Wings lead the series 2-1.
