Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals went to the Detroit Pistons, 103-97. The Pistons were underdogs, and The Dean told you to play them, hope you did. The Over hit easily. The Series is tied at 1-1, with Game 3 set for Saturday in Detroit. The loss was Boston’s first at home and puts the Celtics in a bit of a tough position. Tough in that they haven’t won on the road yet this post-season and now will have to in order to advance.
Tonights action: Game 2 between the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers is tonight in LA. The Lakers are 6.5 point favorites and the Total is set at 192.5. By now everyone should know my feelings on the Spurs, they are the best team out there. They are also 4-1 ATS versus the Lakers this year. Blowing a 20-point lead in Game 1 may get to some teams, but I don’t believe it will affect the Spurs, in fact I expect it to be a tool they use to their benefit. I am taking the Spurs plus the points, and playing it for 3-stars.
Who’s Hot? Both Sox won again, making the White’s 8 straight and the Red’s 7 straight . . . The Atlanta Braves swept a 4-game set from the Mets, making it 5 in a row for the Braves . . . Who’s Not? The Cleveland Indians aren’t hot, losing 6 straight . . . .The New York Mets aren’t hot, they dropped 4 in a row to the rival Atlanta Braves
Nothing worth your valuable time.
Tomorrow night, finally, will start the Stanley Cup Finals between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings.
