The Celtics are the #1 seed in the East and the Hawks finished 8 games under .500 and made the playoffs due to the Nets incompetence as much as their own abilities. There is no reason to root for the Celtics today unless you are an actual fan of the team or you are an idiot and took the Celtics to win the NBA title. Their struggles with the Hawks is exactly the reason they won’t get out of the East. Boston SHOULD win today. But don’t look for them to get past the Cavaliers and should they do that, there is NO WAY they beat the Pistons. Detroit showed what they are all about. If you try and use their 6 game battle against the 76ers as prrof of the Pistons struggles, then you are mistaken. Philadelphia has the 5th best record in the NBA over the second half of the season and was the hardest working team in the NBA during that same stretch. The Pistons dominated the Sixers starting with the second half of Game 4 when the Sixers had a lead in the game and a 2-1 lead in the series. The Pistons will beat the Magic in 4 or 5 and then await either their chance to revenge last year’s loss to the Cavs or take out the over-rated and over-hyped Celtics.
