Seahawks +9![]()
This is the toughest game on this weekend’s slate for me. Seattle has struggled on the road this season and I still do not believe in the Packers. A few years ago these teams met up in a Wildcard game and the Packers prevailed in OT. Mike Holmgren used to be the head coach of the Packers and still has a great feel for the Packers, especially Brett Favre. The more I write and think about this matchup the more I lean toward the Seahawks to cover this high spread of 9 points even though the Packers average margin of victory in their last 4 home games (4-0) is 25 points. Those wins were against Detroit, Oakland, Carolina, and Minnesota. I prefer to place this game into a teaser, bringing the Seahawks up to a 19 or 21 point dog. As far as the game goes I will take Seattle and the points but keep it low at 2-stars.

Jaguars +13.5![]()
I am so f’n happy that this game is taking place. The reason is, should the Patriots win today and run the table they would have faced, and beaten, all of the best teams in the NFL and then there can be no dispute about their place in history. That being said, I am a HUGE Jacksonville fan today. A few weeks back the Scouts and I each chose a team that we would want to face the Patriots and give them a loss. My selection, along with a few others, was the Jaguars. I am not going to back off of my choice and I most likely will lay a little something on the Money Line (+110). I find it odd that the Money Line is so low when the spread is 2 TDs. The Giants are +120 and their line is 6 points less. The Pats are 1-4 ATS in their last 5, though their one cover is against the Steelers, at home, with a line around this number (10.5). Because of that, I am scared. But I am standing by my convictions and will play the Jags at 3-stars.
I am a big fan of the following 4-team tease: SEA +21, JAX +25.5, IND +2.5, NYG +19.5.

You are looking really good if you took the teaser! You have been spotted at least 33 points now.

Seattle was just a bad bet; and I should’ve seen it, it was all in the numbers. I bet that a team that had shown no heart would suddenly get heart while playing the Packers in Green Bay . . . dumb! With it all playing to form, I feel less confident about the Giants today. I still love the Colts thus IND will be my only play today.
