Connecticut @ Syracuse

Syracuse -1
Syracuse has not won a conference game since 2004. Today that streak ends. Syracuse has played everyone tough in the Carrier Dome this year and in this game they are actually the better team. The Dean is not usually very comfortable making a team with a losing record a 5-star pick, but today that si exactly what I am doing. Take the Orangmen and give the point.

REVIEW: Syracuse 20 – Connecticut 14

East Carolina @ Rice

East Carolina -2.5
It’s a big weekend in college football and everyone is fired up, but that doesn’t mean you have to take all the big games. The Dean wagers as an investment and sound investments are not always the most popular ones. East Carolina has been playing very well as of late and they have been on fire all year ATS. The Dean remember’s well the West Virginia/ECU game earlier this year. The Pirates made the Mountaineers earn every yard rushing they got and held them to 27 points. Last week vs. Marshall they held the C-USAs leading rusher to 26 yards rushing. Rice is 5-5 this year, but have not competed against the top teams. The Dean likes the fact that ECU has played West Virginia and Navy tough plus they have a senior QB in James Pinkney that can make plays. You probably won’t be watching this game, but go ahead and lay the 2.5, take East Carolina and make it 5-stars.

REVIEW: East Carolina 17 – Rice 18

I’m still trying to figure out how ECU blew a 17-9 lead with 6 minutes to go.

Michigan @ Ohio State

Michigan +7
Can this game get any more hype? I’ll tell you how much both these teams and their fans want to win. Coach Schembechler went so far as to die the day before the big game. Can someone say, “Win one for Bo”? Ohio State has played the role of team-to-beat all year and played it well. A dominant performance over Texas, racking up 40+ points on all sorts of Big 10 teams and ‘surviving’ the one game that all undefeated teams seem to encounter. There was the Penn St game however, where the Buckeyes struggled and were in jeopardy late in the game. If you are only watching scores and not watching games, the final of that one can be misleading.

All that being said, The Dean loves dog’s that he feels can win outright. Michigan was a road dog once before this season, at Notre Dame. The Wolverine defense is stout and will keep this close. Throw in the extra motivation and The Dean feels that Michigan is the team to lay the dogh on. Playing it close to the vest and making it 2-stars, The Dean is taking the points and the Wolverines

REVIEW: Michigan 39 – Ohio St. 42

As previewed.

South Florida @ Louisville

Louisville -17
The Cardinals are coming off a very disappointing loss to Rutgers and look for them to bounce back against a South Florida team that is quite different on the road. Louisville loves playing at home as evidenced by their high points-per-game average at home. South Florida’s success the past few weeks has come against some fairly weak offenses. Today they face a legitimate offense. Last time the Bulls were on the road they were 17 point losers at Cincinnati. Louisville wants to make a statement and today they will. Take the Cardinals, give the points and make it a 4-star play

REVIEW: Louisville 31 – South Florida 8

As previewed.
